The pericardial sac surrounds and encloses the heart -- it is the ideal location to deliver therapies to the entire heart, from the "outside-in." Traditional drug delivery methods all mix medications with the circulatory system to treat the heart from the "inside-out," but they can also have a toxic effect on other organs. Cormedics has developed a targeted heart therapy to treat just the heart, which has been endorsed by some of the key players in cardiovascular medicine.

- Allows drug therapies to be delivered to the coronary vasculature of the heart via the pericardial space.
- Permits fluid to be removed from or added into the pericardial space.
